“In Treatment” and “Orange is the New Black” star Uzo Aduba is keeping busy, the talented actress is set to join a pair of projects currently in the works.
First up, she’ll star alongside Sarah Paulson, Anthony Mackie, Martin Freeman, Nick Robinson and Hillary Baack in the film adaptation of Bruce Norris’ Pulitzer-winning play “Clybourne Park”.
The story deals with race and real estate in America and serves as a spin-off of Lorraine Hansberry’s classic play “A Raisin in the Sun”. Pam MacKinnon directs and shooting takes place in the Fall in the UK and US.
Aduba is also onboard the spooky comedy “Providence,” joining a cast that includes Lily James, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Hamish Patel, Tim Blake Nelson, Simon Rex, Nina Arianda, Jim Gaffigan, José María Yazpik, and Joey Lauren Adams.
Michael Vukadinovich pens the film about a group of citizens living in an idyllic island town whose utopian facade comes crashing down when a brutal murder takes place, sending shock waves through the community.
Dylan Sellers, Chris Parker, David Boies and Zack Schiller will produce and filming begins this week in North Carolina.
