It appears that not everyone knows that WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is related to Love Island star and boxing prospect Tommy Fury.
UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling recently got a shock when he learned that Jake Paul’s August 6 opponent is a sibling of ‘The Gypsy King’.
‘The Funk Master’ was discussing Paul’s recently announced fight on his YouTube channel when his co-host mentioned Tommy’s brother’s gargantuan net worth, prompting a confused response from the MMA fighter.
“Who’s his brother? [Tyson Fury] is Tommy Fury’s brother? There’s no f****** way,” Sterling said.
“Those guys don’t look nothing alike. Tommy Fury can’t lose to Jake Paul having his brother be Tyson, that would be wild.”
‘The Funk Master’ went on to predict Paul would stretch his perfect boxing record to 6-0, although he admitted he had never seen Fury fight.
“Tyson can box his ass off. I mean, I haven’t seen Tommy fight before. Now, this changes everything. It’s a good fight, Sterling said.
“Jake has been getting in the ring and getting that in [ring] experience even though it’s against Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. I think there’s no substitute for the value of the time under those bright lights.

“The experience, the nerves, all that. I think that all comes with some type of value that you get. I think that’s the difference going into this fight.
“Whereas before, if you asked me about this, I’d be like ‘there’s no way [Jake Paul] wins this scrap, but now I’m like, ‘there’s actually a good chance he can win this.’”
Sterling became the first person in UFC history to win a title by disqualification last year.
The 33-year-old was on the verge of being stopped by Petr Yan at UFC 259 before the Russian hit him with an illegal knee that ended the fight.
In April, Sterling picked up a split decision victory over Yan in their eagerly anticipated rematch, but UFC president Dana White thought the New Yorker was once again lucky to get the win.
Nonetheless, he remains the champion and is expected to put his title on the line once again later this year when he faces TJ Dillashaw.
A fight between the 135lb duo is in the works for UFC 269 on September 10 at a location to be determined.
