SS Rajamouli’s movie RRR has been impressing audiences in India and overseas alike. Especially after the movie was released on Netflix, the west too got a chance to experience the cinema. And even after so many days of its release, people have not stopped showering praises.
Recently Jon Spaihts who has written projects like Passengers, Dune and Doctor Strange, took to his Twitter and wrote about how much he loved the movie. He tweeted that even though he watched the film a few days ago, yet he couldn’t stop thinking about it even a couple of days later.

In June, The Vampire Diaries actor, Joseph Morgan and Persia White also spoke highly about the movie. He tweeted that he and his wife got a little time off from shooting and that is when they watched an incredible movie. They both were astounded by the performances. They laughed, cried and gasped in amazement. The team of RRR acknowledged their tweet and tweeted back.
With a budget of approximately Rs 550 crores, the movie earned more than Rs 1200 crores worldwide. The story of the movie is set in the pre-independence era, around the 1920s. It shows the lives of two popular revolutionaries and real-life heroes- Alluri Sitaraman Raju and Komaram Bheem. Rajamouli during his research came across two separate stories of these revolutionaries. He could connect the two stories in his mind and then later conceptualized the idea of what would have happened if the two were friends?
Even though the film was announced in 2018, it wrapped up in 2021 due to the pandemic. The film was shot in various parts of India, Ukraine and Bulgaria. On the day it was released, it broke the record of the highest earnings on an opening day for an Indian film. It also broke Baahubali 2’s record numbers and emerged as the highest-grosser in its home market too.
