The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Filip Mesar to a three-year, entry-level contract on Thursday.
Mesar was the 26th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. The Slovakian played in his home country for the Extraliga’s Poprad HK in 2021-22 where he picked up eight goals and eight assists in 16 games.
With the Slovakian under-18 national team, Mesar added five goals and seven assists in all competitions in 2021-22.
